ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga., Nov. 10, 2010 – More than 30 inspectors from Air Combat Command (ACC) and the National Guard Bureau (NGB) will conduct an Operational Readiness Inspection (ORI) of the 116th Air Control Wing from Nov 12-17. ACC’s Inspector General team performs inspections to validate a unit’s force readiness and its ability to execute its operational mission. This is the first of two phases of an ORI. The first phase validates a unit’s ability to deploy its forces while the second phase validates the unit’s ability to execute its combat mission from a deployed location. The 116th Air Control Wing will receive the second phase of its ORI at a later date. The 116th Air Control Wing received its last ORI in Dec 2005.
